I designed an original logo for my small business Alluring Foliage using Adobe Illustrator and then animated it in Adobe After Effects. The animation was designed to be a 15 second intro for future animations and video clips. An original audio score was also designed in Audacity to complement the logo animation. The animation was designed to be playful and hold the viewer’s attention while relaying the theme of creativity and nature. While making the animation I found it challenging to keep the design simple and clean. It was too easy to get distracted by adding more details and effects. My main goal in designing the logo animation was to hide the logo in the beginning and use it as a representation of plants in a nature-scape. There were challenges with getting the logo to move as if it was blowing in the breeze. In the end I believe I met my goal and in the process learned a new technique that helped me develop the rest of the animation.
